In 1974, the Faculty of Economics produced 24 scholars as its first graduates. In 1975, it was separated from Gadjah Mada University and started employing lecturers from Jenderal Sudirman University. Then, the Faculty of Economics opened Diploma Three Program (D3) which was named the Education Program for Corporate Administration (PAAP). PAAP was founded based on the decree of Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture No. 052/DJ/Kept./1982 November 17, 1983. It had two study programs, i.e. Finance and Administrative, and Secretariat. The teaching staff were from the Faculty of Economics and a few practitioners in Purwokerto.
