[unsoed.ac.id, Wed, 18/6/25] With the theme of Exploring, Caring for, and Serving the Country, the Student Nature Lovers Environmental Scout Unit (UPL MPA) of Jenderal Soedirman University (Unsoed) successfully held its 46th anniversary celebration.
Held at Bento Kopi Purwokerto, this event marked a historic moment as it was the first time in seven years that the anniversary celebration was held externally, open to invited guests and partner organizations.
In this celebration, which had previously always been held internally, the enthusiasm of the participants was extraordinary. Various nature-loving student organizations (Mapala) from the Banyumas region, as well as representatives from outside the region such as Cilacap and Brebes, were present and enlivened the event. Also present was one of the important figures who added color to the event, namely Prof. Dr. Hibnu Nugroho, S.H., M.Hum., Professor at the Faculty of Law, Unsoed, and advisor to UPL MPA Unsoed.
As a form of commitment to environmental issues, on the peak night of the 46th Anniversary, UPL MPA Unsoed also promoted a zero waste campaign. All participants were encouraged to bring their own tumblers as an effort to reduce plastic waste and support an environmentally friendly lifestyle.
The entire series of activities took place in a warm family atmosphere, bringing together active members, alumni, and networks of nature-loving organizations from various regions.
“This is an important milestone for us. After seven years of only celebrating internally, we can finally reconnect and share our enthusiasm with colleagues from outside. The enthusiasm from the invited guests was truly extraordinary,” said the Chair of the 46th Anniversary Committee.
The series of events included short discussion sessions, screenings of historical documentation and the organization’s journey, various interactive games, and musical performances that further ignited the spirit of togetherness. This moment also served as a gathering for intergenerational bonding and strengthening networks among nature-loving organizations.
The 46th Anniversary is expected to serve as a new foundation for UPL MPA Unsoed to expand its activities and contributions, both in environmental conservation and community service.
