[unsoed.ac.id, Mon, 24/02/25] Students from the Faculty of Law at UNSOED achieved a remarkable victory in the Contract Drafting and Negotiation Competition held at Sebelas Maret University (UNS) in Surakarta on February 22, 2025. During this national event, part of the National Business Legal Talk 2025, the BURI Team from FH UNSOED secured third place.

The team, comprised of Renata Bunga Ardnes, Widowati Imansari, Astri Mustika Sari, Ahmad Ma’ruf Muhaimin, Nadiva Zahra, and Azwa Iftinan Naeli Wijaya, embarked on a challenging journey to reach the finals and ultimately secured 3rd place.

During the initial stages of the competition, these students were tasked with creating a contract and its accompanying documents. The theme centered around the utilization of geothermal energy for sustainable electrical energy, which required the students to prepare detailed contract documents and attachments.

Various loopholes in the agreement were carefully examined and discussed before submission in the preliminary round. After a competitive preliminary round, the BURI Team from the Faculty of Law at UNSOED was selected to participate in the final round, where they presented and simulated contracts and negotiations in Surakarta.

The students from Soedirman faced the challenge confidently, competing against well-known teams from other universities. After successfully overcoming UGM and UB in previous rounds, the UNSOED Faculty of Law Team achieved an impressive milestone by securing 3rd place in the Contract Drafting Competition for the first time. BURI Team Leader, Renata Bunga Ardnes, expressed her surprise at this remarkable achievement.

“Initially, we did not expect to win third place, especially considering that the other participants were very experienced in the same event,” she explained. Renata emphasized that solid teamwork and transparency in drafting contracts and attachment documents were crucial to their success in the competition. “Additionally, the extensive training we conducted leading up to the event played a significant role in our performance,” she continued. Renata also expressed her gratitude for the support from various individuals and groups, including her Supervisor, the Achievement Centre, Faculty leaders, and the University, all of whom contributed to their success in the competition.
