Togetherness in Diversity: Going Home IX UPL MPA Unsoed Unites Across Generations

[unsoed.ac.id, Sat, 05/17/25] The Student Nature Lovers Environmental Unit of Jenderal Soedirman University (UPL MPA Unsoed) successfully held “Going Home IX,” a triennial reunion event that brought together all generations, from the first generation to current active members.

With the theme “Nyawiji Dadi Siji,” the event took place over two days, from May 10–11, 2025, at Agro Karang Penginyongan, Cilongok, Banyumas.

“The purpose of this event is to strengthen bonds and invite alumni back to the place where they grew and developed,” said Aldo Boedijanto Soendoro, Chair of the Going Home IX Organizing Committee.

The theme “Nyawiji Dadi Siji” symbolizes the convergence of river water and seawater. Though originating from different sources and carrying their own distinct characteristics, they ultimately unite into a larger, stronger entity.

The event was attended by around 250 participants, including 100 Extraordinary Members (ALB), active members, ALB families, and guests of honor.

The series of events began on Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. in the Praba Wulan Hall with the screening of a documentary film about the journey of UPL MPA Unsoed, an introduction session for the Extraordinary Member Communication Forum (FK ALB), and a discussion between different generations. The next day, the activities continued with morning exercises, team-building outbound activities, and ended at 1:00 PM.

On this occasion, the election for the FK ALB Chairperson for the 2025–2028 period was also held. Yusep Pramono was elected as the new chairperson of the forum, which acts as a bridge of communication between active members and ALB.

Not only that, Going Home IX also honored two figures as Honorary Members: Prof. Dr. Norman Arie Prayogo, S.Pi., M.Si (Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni of Unsoed) and Prof. Dr. Hibnu Nugroho, SH., M.Hum (Advisor to UPL MPA Unsoed).

“This event is not just a reunion, but a moment to rebuild collective spirit, strengthen bonds between generations, and move forward together toward a more solid and adaptive UPL MPA Unsoed,” Aldo concluded hopefully.
