From the KPK, attendees included Vice Chairman Ibnu Basuki Widodo, Dian Novianthi, the Director of the KPK’s Education Network, Masagung Dewanto, Head of the Dikti Task Force, and Nur Setiyo, a Functional Officer from the KPK’s Education Network Directorate.

In his speech, the Rector of Unsoed emphasized the crucial role of higher education institutions as agents of social change, particularly in fostering an ecosystem of integrity and clean governance. “We believe that our collaboration with the KPK is essential for reinforcing the values of honesty, responsibility, and transparency, which will serve as a foundation for developing outstanding human resources,” he stated.

Deputy Chairman of the KPK, Ibnu Basuki Widodo, emphasized the strategic responsibility of universities in shaping the character of the younger generation. He presented material on “Strengthening Integrity Through Higher Education,” which underscored the importance of incorporating anti-corruption curricula, establishing leadership role models, and implementing accountable governance systems on campus.

Corruption is a widespread issue that harms not only the economy but also morality and civilization. Therefore, the KPK focuses on both enforcement and prevention through education.

To strengthen integrity through higher education, we aim to promote three key pillars:

  1. Integration of Anti-Corruption Values into the Curriculum – It is essential to introduce students to fundamental values of integrity early in their education through various learning methods.
  2. Role Models Among Leaders and Lecturers – Integrity will be more impactful when it is exemplified by leaders and educators, not just taught in theory.
  3. Clean and Transparent Campus Governance – As public institutions, campuses must demonstrate accountable governance practices to promote transparency and trust.

“Corruption is not just a legal violation; it is also a moral and cultural issue. Education is the key tool for preventing corruption. We hope that Unsoed can serve as a model in creating a systematic approach to corruption prevention,” said Ibnu.

Unsoed is dedicated to integrating integrity into both our academic and institutional practices. Through this collaboration, we aim to enhance our governance system, improve our anti-corruption curriculum, and foster a learning environment grounded in the values of honesty, transparency, and accountability.

It is hoped that Unsoed will become a key force in the national movement to eradicate corruption through education.
