UNSOED and OJK Agree on Strategic Cooperation
[unsoed.ac.id, Wed, 09/03/22] Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (UNSOED) cooperates with the Financial Services Authority (OJK), concerning "Implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, Development of the Financial Services Sector, Improvement of Financial Education also Consumer & Community Protection in the Financial Services Sector", Tuesday (09/3). The collaboration is contained in a Memorandum of Understanding / MoU signed by the Chancellor of UNSOED Prof.Dr.Ir Suwarto MS, and the Chairman of the OJK Board of Commissioners Prof. Wimboh Santoso SE, M.Sc., Ph.D.
The scope of cooperation includes the implementation of socialization, as well as financial education and inclusion; Implementation of education, teaching, research and community service, especially related to the financial services sector; Implementation of the MBKM Program; Improving the competence and capacity of human resources; Provision, Exchange, and Utilization of data and/or information; and Implementation of other agreed areas of cooperation.
UNSOED Chancellor, Prof.Dr.Ir Suwarto MS, in his speech expressed his gratitude to OJK for collaborating with UNSOED, which of course will bring many benefits to UNSOED students, especially in the MBKM era. The Chancellor also hoped that OJK will become a practicing lecturer who teaches on campus, as well as students who do internships at the OJK office.
The signing of this collaboration coincided with the Central Java Financial Services Industry workshop, with the theme "The Role of the Financial Services Sector in Accelerating Regional Economic Recovery" which took place at the Justisia Building, Faculty of Law, UNSOED. The financial services sector played an important role in promoting national and regional economic recovery. OJK along with local governments and the financial services industry synergize to support efforts to recover the national economy from the impact of the pandemic, through policies such as credit restructuring stimulus, guarantees, interest subsidies, and the development of MSMEs. OJK also issues policies to accelerate the digital economy and support sustainable finance to meet Indonesia's commitments to the global agenda related to climate change
