[unsoed.ac.id, Tues, 15/7/25] University Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed) has formed a strategic partnership with PT Bhakti Tidar Sembilan Satu (Badar 91) by signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) titled “Collaborative Management and Research and Community Service Capacity Building Programme.” The signing ceremony took place on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at the Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) building of Unsoed. This agreement marks the first step in strengthening collaboration between the university and the industrial sector to address the challenges of research-based development.
The MoA was signed by Prof. Dr. Ir. Elly Tugiyanti, IPU, ASEAN Eng, Head of the LPPM at Unsoed; Prof. Dr. Ir. Sakhidin, M.P., Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture; and Brigadier General (Ret.) Dani Suripto, S.I.P., M.Si., CEO of PT Bhakti Tidar Sembilan Satu. The signing was witnessed by the Rector of Unsoed, Prof. Dr. Ir. Akhmad Sodiq, M.Sc.Agr., IPU, ASEAN Eng. Also present were the vice rectors and deans from the Unsoed community, Brigadier General TNI Jamaluddin, S.I.P., M.I.P., Deputy Chief of Staff for Planning and Development, and Lieutenant Colonel Arm Ida Bagus Adi Purnama, S.T., M.Han, Commander of the 0701/Banyumas Military District, along with invited guests.
Unsoed Rector, Prof. Akhmad Sodiq, expressed his appreciation for this partnership and offered his full support for the implementation of the cooperation program. “We will follow up this collaboration with internships, thematic community service programs, and joint research involving our lecturers in the partner region,” said Prof. Sodiq during his speech. After the signing ceremony, Dr. rer. nat. Ir. Djeimy Kusnaman, M.Sc., a lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture and the program coordinator, presented the details of the initiative.
Involving 5 Faculties
In his presentation, Djeimy explained that a collaborative program will be conducted by an inter-faculty team at Unsoed, which includes five faculties: Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Health Sciences, and Engineering. This interdisciplinary team will work together to develop a range of programs, such as creating essential oil commodities, enhancing research-based agroforestry models, and empowering the community in the Takokok Sub-district of Cianjur Regency, West Java Province.
After the event at LPPM, the delegation from PT Badar 91 continued their visit to PT Indesso Aroma in Baturraden, Banyumas. They were accompanied by Djeimy Kusnaman and the Unsoed team. Upon arrival, they were welcomed by Aryo Sindunoto, the Plant Manager of PT Indesso Aroma. The delegation received an explanation of the essential oil production process and was invited to tour the factory facilities.
