Outstanding! 11 UNSOED Students Got IISMA Scholarship in 2024

[unsoed.ac.id, Wed, 27/03/24] 11 students of Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed) successfully got the IISMA (International Student Mobility Awards) scholarship in 2024. IISMA is part of the Independent Campus Program of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) which provides opportunities for Indonesians to study for one semester at the best universities around the world.

Head of International Relation Office Unsoed, Prita Sari Dewi, Ph.D. said that this achievement was the result of hard work of students and the support of Unsoed leadership, and Unsoed’s IISMA PIC, Dr. Poppy Dian Indira Kusuma and IISMA 2023 awardees who were willing to mentor their younger siblings.

“The preparation for IISMA 2024 begins with the socialization of the IISMA program, Unsoed was appointed to host IISMA socialization activities in universities in the Central Java region. In addition, guidance on CV writing, essays, and interview preparation is also provided for students. This program is expected to continue in the coming years and the number of Unsoed students who become IISMA awardees will also increase,” Prita explained.

The IISMA program aims to:

  • Provide opportunities for students to study multidisciplinary science based on interests through various courses.
  • Provide opportunities for students to gain knowledge and skills from world-renowned universities in 30 countries.
  • Enhance students’ cross-cultural understanding through gaining experience in the host country.
  • Increase networking at the international level through meetings with students, lecturers, and local and international communities.
  • Prepare qualified graduates who have the experience, knowledge and skills for future careers.

Students who pass the IISMA final stage selection will receive a scholarship that covers registration fees, tuition fees, PCR, quarantine, health insurance (COVID guarantee), housing and living allowances, economy airfare, visas, and emergency funds.

  • Muhammad Farkhan Destrian Candra (International Accounting) to Charles University, Czech Republic
  • Efforti Cesarrikha Ashari (Communication Studies) to University of Limerick, The Republic of Ireland
  • Nurmalihah (D3 Business Administration) to Prince of Songkla University, Thailand
  • Sekar Hayuning Mutyas (English Literature) to University of Pécs, Hungary
  • Shammara Arsine Angelique (Chemistry) to RUDN University, Russia
  • M. Irfan Nabiel M Mucoffa (Informatics) to Hanyang University, South Korea
  • Faizal Shahid Ramadhan (D3 International Business) to Prince of Songkla University, Thailand
