LPPM UNSOED Develops Community-based Sustainable Ecotourism in Karangjengkol Village, Purbalingga

[unsoed.ac.id, Thu, 27/02/25] LPPM Unsoed, through the Creative Economy Research Centre (EKP), has initiated the development of Community-Based Ecotourism in Karangjengkol Village, located in Purbalingga Regency. 

As part of this initiative, the EKP Research Centre, led by Dr. Rahab, M.Sc., conducted a field study titled “Initiation of Community-Based Tourism (CBT) Development in Karangjengkol Village, Kutasari District, Purbalingga,” which focused on mapping the tourism potential in rural areas.

Dr. Rahab, M.Sc, emphasized that the goal of this activity is to promote the tourism potential in rural areas for sustainable development. 

“Tourism development in rural areas must be based on four main pillars: economic sustainability, socio-cultural sustainability, environmental sustainability, and religious sustainability.” he stated.

In light of the initiation of ecotourism development in Karangjengkol Village, EKP LPPM Unsoed hopes that all parties involved in tourism activities will prioritize environmental sustainability and encourage the participation of the surrounding community.
