[unsoed.ac.id, Tue, 11/03/25] Tax Center Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed), chaired by Dr. Uswatun Hasanah, S.E., M.Si., Ak., again achieved by winning an award as the Tax Center with the Most Active Activities in 2024 at the Regional Office of DGT Central Java II. This award was given as a form of appreciation for various excellent programs carried out in tax education for the community and academics.
Uswatun said, since the launch of the Tax Volunteers for the Country (Renjani) program in 2024, Tax Center Unsoed has actively held various activities involving students as tax volunteers.
“The excellent programs that have been carried out include workshops and assistance in filling tax returns for Unsoed employees, taxation public lectures that present tax experts to increase student and community understanding, and Tax Corner services that provide tax consultations to taxpayers,” Uswatun explained.
In addition, Tax Center Unsoed also runs Business Development Service (BDS), a tax assistance program for businesses to improve their tax compliance.
In running these programs, Tax Center Unsoed faces major challenges related to the involvement of students as tax volunteers, the majority of whom are in the 4th to 6th semester and must balance their time between lectures and activities at the Tax Center.
To overcome this obstacle, if there is an urgent activity, Tax Center Unsoed will submit a lecture dispensation to the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs so that the activity continues to run optimally without disrupting student academics.
According to him, the award as Tax Center with the Most Active Activities has a very important meaning for Tax Center Unsoed.
“In addition to being a form of recognition for contributions in tax education, this award also strengthens the commitment of state defense in helping people understand and fulfill their tax obligations,” said Uswatun.
With close cooperation between Tax Center Unsoed, Tax Office (KPP), and Directorate General of Taxes (DGT), Unsoed is increasingly recognized as a strategic partner in increasing public tax awareness.
“In the future, Tax Center Unsoed is committed to continuing the Renjani program and increasing the number of students who join as tax volunteers,” said Uswatun.
With more students involved, it is expected that tax education can reach more people and have a wider impact in increasing tax compliance.
With various initiatives and innovations that continue to be developed, the Tax Center of Universitas Jenderal Soedirman is ready to continue contributing to building tax awareness and providing the best service for the community.
