[unsoed.ac.id, Fri, 21/02/25] Students from Universitas Jenderal Soedirman achieved notable success at the Inspire X Summit Fest 2025, a National Essay and Business Case Competition held at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) in Bandung on February 15-16, 2025.
Three students from the Department of Public Administration, class of 2022, earned awards in various categories: Faloma Yesika received a Silver Medal for her essay on Tourism, Miracya Nainggola earned a Silver Medal for her essay on Education, and Firdha Syilfia was awarded a Bronze Medal for her essay on Agriculture and Food.
In addition to these achievements, they also won in the categories of Favorite Poster for the Essay on Tourism and Favorite Poster for the Essay on Agriculture and Food.
Faloma expressed that this achievement resulted from the team’s hard work and dedication in developing innovative ideas and conducting thorough research. The competition assessed not only the quality of writing but also the ability to present ideas in an engaging and persuasive manner. “Each team aimed to explore the issues facing the tourism, education, and agriculture and food sectors, and propose innovative and practical policy-based solutions,” said Faloma.
During the competition, participants faced off against students from various renowned universities in Indonesia. The challenges they encountered were not solely academic; they also required strategic thinking to develop strong arguments related to current issues.
The team’s accomplishments included winning two silver medals, one bronze medal, and two favorite awards for their posters, showcasing the high value placed on their ideas by the judges. This success can largely be attributed to the support from various parties.
“The support from different groups, particularly the Talent Management Team of the Department of Public Administration, was crucial in helping students prepare for and participate in this competition, which led to their achievements. This team plays an essential role by providing information, guidance, and assistance in coordinating students who wish to engage in various self-development events, both nationally and internationally,” she explained.
These achievements highlight that Public Administration students have the skills to analyze and create solutions for various policy challenges in Indonesia. Their success isanticipated to inspire other students to further develop their academic and professional potential while actively contributing to society.
